Erin Jackson finished the dry season for the United States in skating speed, reaching the Olympic gold medal in the 500m women's singles.

The former roller derby skater of Ocala, Florida, who came out of the petrol penins off the road on Sunday night, completed the full race with a quarter of an oval in 37.04sec to replace the gold medal.

After the last couple missed the mark, Jackson kissed his mentor at the moment, sitting on a chair near the infield crying tears of joy.

The 29-year-old Jackson, a former linebacker who competed in the American team at the 2018 Olympics just four months in the snow, was hailed as the chief Black woman to win gold at any event at the Winter Games.

"Ideally, this has an impact," Jackson said. I just wish I was a real model."

Japanese bowler Miho Takagi, who finished second in the 1500m on Monday, added more silver to his Beijing tally after giving a timely and 37.12sec season hold on until Jackson. Angelina Golikova of the Russian Olympic Committee arrived 0.09 seconds after Takagi took the bronze.

"I want to express how I feel," said Jackson, the Team USA's first gold medal swimmer in every 12 years and the first American women's performance since 2002. "It's amazing. This decoration means that It's been a few years and a strong start to the year."

Jackson, a world-class 500m champion who has won four World Cup titles this season, thought his Olympic dream had come true following the collapse of the US first Milwaukee US Monthly Games in Milwaukee that seemed to cost him a place in the team, by his teammates. Brittany Bowe to give Jackson his place.

Bowe, who has the world's highest authority in the 1000m, had the option to slide last Sunday after all when a few countries recouped their monetary points. He finished sixteen.

"I think I'm unconscious," Bowe said, looking at Jackson's victory.

Jackson is one of three speeding allies in the US, near Bowe and Joey Mantia, from Ocala, a Florida downtown city with no glaciers that have become a spectacular glacier. All three started there and prepared themselves under the same youth mentor, Renee Hildebrand, who never made the trip to Beijing.

Her success on Sunday marked the United States' first in the 500m since Bonnie Blair won three times from 1988 to 1994. Their 30 gold medals at all speed skating events are second behind the Netherlands, winning 46.

It has been a bad journey but this [gold] makes it so much better."
